How Minandro handles information, which permissions it uses, and the limits of the app.
1. Who we are
Minandro is an Android home-screen launcher provided by Sloppy Codes (“we”, “us” or the “developer”). This policy covers the current Minandro app. Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected].
2. Information processed on your device
Minandro processes information needed to provide its launcher features:
- Apps and profiles: launchable app names, icons, package identifiers, shortcuts, and Android-provided personal, work and private-profile information, subject to Android permissions and profile restrictions.
- Your choices and content: pinned apps, custom labels, shortcuts, modes and schedules, parked-app choices, priorities, notes, appearance preferences and any destination you enter for a directions shortcut.
- Focus and reminders: timer settings, session information, completion counts, reminder times and the app associated with a return reminder.
- Optional agenda: if enabled and permitted, upcoming event identifiers, titles, start/end times and event locations from visible device calendars. Event details are read to display your agenda; identifiers and times may be stored locally to schedule departure reminders.
- Search and calculations: text you enter is processed locally to find apps, run supported commands, calculate results and convert units. Saving a note stores the selected text on your device. Copying a result places it on the Android clipboard.
The app does not transmit these launcher records, calendar details, notes or queries to Sloppy Codes. The current app has no account system, developer-operated backend, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or automatic crash-reporting service, and does not request Android’s Internet permission.
3. When information can leave the app
When you choose to open another app, shortcut, calendar event or external destination, Android passes the information required for that action to the receiving app. In particular, the “Directions home” action passes your saved destination to a Google Maps directions URL, handled by an installed app or browser. The receiving service may process that destination under its own privacy policy. This does not give Minandro access to your GPS location.
Calendar providers may separately synchronize your calendars, and your keyboard, Android, Google Play and other apps may process information under their own policies. Those services are separate from Minandro. Minandro does not sell or rent your personal information or send it to advertising networks.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond, provide support and address the issue, using our email service provider. Please avoid sending passwords, sensitive notes or unnecessary personal information.
4. Permissions and system access
| Access | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Calendar | Optional, read-only access for the agenda and departure reminders. Minandro does not edit your calendar. |
| Notifications | Optional local focus, return and departure reminders. This permission does not let Minandro read other apps’ notifications. |
| Precise alarms | Where allowed by Android and enabled by you, schedules reminders more precisely. Delivery still depends on device and system conditions. |
| Boot and time changes | Restores or adjusts locally scheduled reminders after a reboot or clock/time-zone change. |
| Launcher and profile access | Displays and launches available apps and shortcuts, including supported work and Private Space profiles. Android controls access to locked profiles. |
Minandro does not request access to your contacts, microphone, camera or precise device location. Features that need optional access may be unavailable when you decline or revoke it.
5. Storage, retention and deletion
Preferences and user-created launcher content are stored in Android’s app-private storage. App-private storage is not a promise of additional encryption or protection against someone who can access your unlocked or compromised device. Minandro disables Android backup and excludes its shared preferences from cloud backup and device transfer in its configuration; device-manufacturer behavior can vary.
Local records can remain until you edit or remove them, clear the app’s storage or uninstall it. Expired timer or parking records may remain locally after their active effect ends. Calendar event details are queried from the device calendar; removing Minandro does not remove your calendar events or other apps.
- Disable the agenda inside Minandro, or revoke calendar access through Android’s app-permission settings.
- Change notification and precise-alarm access through Android settings.
- Use Android Settings → Apps → Minandro → Storage → Clear storage to remove local Minandro data, or uninstall the app. Menu names vary by device. Clearing storage resets your launcher setup.
- Delete clipboard entries through Android or your keyboard’s clipboard controls, where supported. Clearing Minandro storage does not necessarily clear the system clipboard.
We do not hold a server-side copy of your launcher content and cannot restore it or remotely delete it from your device. Support correspondence is kept only as reasonably needed to handle the request, follow up and meet applicable legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized. You may contact us about access, correction or deletion of information you have sent us, or other applicable privacy rights. Where applicable, you may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
6. Children and changes
Minandro is a general-purpose launcher and does not intentionally solicit personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information can contact us to request its removal.
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law, and any necessary permissions or consent will be obtained before the relevant new processing.
7. Provided “as is”
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Minandro is provided “as is” and “as available”, without additional voluntary warranties or guarantees.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every device, accuracy of every calculation, timely delivery of every reminder, prevention of distraction, or any particular productivity or wellbeing outcome.
These notices do not exclude mandatory legal guarantees, consumer rights, privacy rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent the law permits their exclusion, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Features, availability and device compatibility may change, subject to any obligations imposed by law.
8. Practical limitations
Android restrictions, battery management, denied permissions, device settings, reboot behavior and third-party apps can affect launcher features and reminders. App parking changes availability inside Minandro; it is not a system-wide app blocker or a security control. Timers, agenda reminders, calculations and conversions are convenience features. Independently verify important results and use appropriate alternatives for critical reminders or safety-related decisions. Keep copies of important notes and information.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sloppy Codes shall not be liable for losses or damages arising from using, being unable to use, or relying on Minandro, including indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages; lost data, profits or opportunities; interrupted work; missed reminders; or third-party service failures.
This limitation applies only where legally enforceable. It does not exclude or limit liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breaches of data-protection obligations, or any other liability to the extent applicable law prohibits its exclusion or limitation. Nothing here transfers the developer’s legal responsibilities to you or restricts remedies you are entitled to by law. If an exclusion is unenforceable, it applies only to the extent legally permitted, and the remaining provisions continue to apply where lawful.
Part B sets out warranty and liability notices. It does not replace this privacy policy or treat permission to process personal information as a waiver of your legal rights.
